Eric M. Ruiz is an LA-based writer and marketing professional from Modesto, CA. Currently, he’s part of the Marketing team at Netflix where he help partners across Latin America—like Telefonica and Samsung— tell amazing stories with Netflix content.
Prior to Netflix, he spent six years working at Waze (and Google, after the 2013 acquisition), where he launched the company’s first partnerships and marketing campaigns in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Colombia.
His essays on identity, belonging, and culture have appeared in Fast Company, Observer, Entrepreneur and Howler Magazine. A polyglot, Eric thinks in English, hugs in Spanish and goes to the gym in Portuguese.
When he’s not in the office, Eric is practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, listening to the latest Kanye albums or arguing about soccer on the internet.
